10/12-10/14 is a short week. Wednesday 10/14/15 is a short day. There will be no spelling homework or spelling test this week.  All Egypt Tasks are due 10/14/15.

Hi my name is Markus and I have to talk about something because I have to so................ I will tell you about the simulations. So far it is four tribes against one!! We also like playing tether ball.

  I hope I get an A in the math test because math is important. Science is fun too! We are learning about micro organizms.   

                                             Divergent

             So for the past couple of weeks I have been reading a lot. The book that I have been reading is called Divergent. It is set in a future version of Chicago where the whole city is separated into five different factions and each of them belies in something different. The five different factions are the Amity, Erudite, Candor, Abnegation, and Dauntless. The Amity is the peaceful, the Erudite is the wise, the Candor is the honest, the Abnegation is the selfless, and the Dauntless is the brave. When somebody reaches the age of 16 they get to choose which faction they want to spent the rest of their live in. This is a great book and I recommend it do people that like Hunger Games and books like that.

9-3-15                                                   Stop Bulling!
        People don't Know what bulling can do to students and also schools.
Today at school, Rosa saw a boy being bullied. Other kids were in a circle around him, calling him names. Rosa knew this was wrong, but she didn’t know what to do to help this boy. She worried that if she said anything, the other kids would start bulling her after seeing this boy getting bullied she doesn't feel safe at school any more. They may be afraid to go to school, go to the lavatory, or ride the school bus. They may lose interest in school, have trouble concentrating, or do poorly academically.

        There is good evidence that young people often do not report bullying to adults. Children are adept at hiding bullying-related behaviors and the unequal "shadow" power dynamics that can exist among them. Because of this secrecy, adults underestimate the seriousness and extent of bullying at their schools.

               My days at school

        Well first i'm going to tell you about tether ball then other... stuff. the other stuff is just like other things that have happened in school like we talked about stuff.

           First things first I love tether ball. A lot of people play at recess and now since there's two tether balls everyone gets to play and even if you don't want to play you can cheer someone on or you could just hangout. we even let the 5th graders play because last year the 6th graders said that only 6th graders could play. We let everyone play.

            the second thing is that we all like to talk to each other. A lot of my friends in Ms. Santos's class didn't want to talk to me or even look at me. i had other friends but it was sad to lose them. 

            I think so far the funniest thing that happened was when Iain was playing tether ball and He was against Camden. him and Camden were supposed to shake hands before they played tether ball but Camden pulled his hand away and started before Iain was ready. Iain started winning when he started yelling It was so funny.

6th grade update

6th grade Update

      So far in 6th grade it's been great I've been keeping my grades up and it's been so fun. Right now I am working on my Student Council poster I have not wrote my essay yet but I'm planning to start today and finish before the 8th. Also so far math has been a little complicated but not to hard. I will also like to report that simulations with Mesopotamia has been awesome. 

      Also at recess me and some of my friends have started playing mafia. For my student council poster I am very excited to make it very fun and cute. I still don't know what my slogan/catch phrase will be but I am working on it. In simulations I am part of the Hittites clan. We have been doing very good money wise and life is good for the Hittites. In math Mrs. Emery is very helpful and is taking our lessons step by step and science has been a whole lot of fun. Also in language arts we are reading Kiss the Dust and it is a great book.

   6th grade has been awesome I am still getting used to being the oldest students in the school. I'm so excited for other simulations and  I can't wait to do more experiments in science. I'm very excited for more math and reading.

                       second week of school

 The second week of school was even better then last time it was really good and fun I never knew that sixth grade  was going to e so fun. I really like the teachers here because their so nice and i really like the health body's healthy minds. here is a video i will show you guys. 

The video is really funny but ya this is the video that we did not do yet but the ether video I don't know the names of them yet.


I really like every thing in school except the drama like Mister frank said save your drama four your lama. ha ha stay fresh my friends   
       

Nothing Could be Better Than Learning 

in 6th Grade

I'm having a great time learning about the many things in L.A! learning about the old ancient Mesopotamia times! I'm the scribe in my group and when i go home to research about my tribe, i learn so many cool things. Their religion, their life style, and their unique masterpieces! I'm really interested in their art I think the art has some meaning to it! They also wrote on clay tablets instead!

"Well yeah it's cool and we have a test this Friday and it is going the be awesome." "Oh John  isn't she just a cutie." "Oh yeah just like all the other ones."

      So far sixth grade has been super fun especially the simulations in Mr. Franks class. My tribe is a good group and we work very well together. We usually have at least 5 points or more. If all the tribes get at least 5 points by the end of the day, we all get Gorge, Mr. Franks candy jar.  It's really fun buying armies and making moves.

        When Mrs. Emery teaches math it's easy and fun. I love math and it is one of my favorite subjects.

this is KSL news at rosecrest elementary we are unnerving the 6th graders (the rulers of the school).  today we are mainly going to talk about a game at recess i think its called  jalapenos... wait what?..... ohhh its called mafia my bad. i don't know how i got those things mix up anyhow. this is how you play there is a narrator and he tells every one to go to sleep and when everyone had there eyes closed then the narrator taps 3 people on the head if he taps you head 1 time it means you are the murderer, times detective 3 times angel the.   the murderer kill someone the detective decides who the murder is and the angel saves some one . everyone wakes up and the narrator tells a wacko story.

School can sometimes get really annoying and sometimes fun. But mostly its fun me and my friends play teatherball and we do vocabulary and math.

    We are doing the simulation at it is really fun. Or tribe is pretty good I am haveing a lot of fun with it. But one of my faveriot  parts is doing the tribe tasks. I still play Four square at reases.
